News - Camp Harris Director

November 20, 2017

Dear Fellow Servants,

Charlie Lechner, our Camp Harris Director for the past 5 years, has accepted a call to First Baptist Church Minden as their Minister of Administration and Education. He will be helping us to transition to an interim director through the end of the year. As a result of Charlie’s resignation, the administrative committee of the Harris Board has met and established guidelines for calling a new director. We are asking that resumes and referrals be made through January 31, 2018. The committee will then began the process of prayerfully working through the resumes seeking our new director. You may email resumes to our Harris Board President, Brian Thurman, at  or mail to First Baptist Church, Attention Brian Thurman, 406 W Main St, Homer, LA 71040.

Charlie Lechner and family have been a huge blessing to our camp. They came to us at  a critical time and successfully built the camp up to where it is today. We are thankful for his years of service to the Lord through our camp and trust that God will continue using him mightily in his new position. I am sure that Charlie will be glad to answer questions for you about what being a director entails. You may contact him at  or call 318-927-3706.

Please be in prayer for our Camp Harris Board as we begin the journey of seeking God’s new Camp Harris Director.

Yours in Christ’s Service,
Randy R. Hales
